What does the proposal contain?

The proposal lists features, main screens, timeline, price and — just as important — what is out of scope. It is also where the payment format is settled: instalments tied to deliveries when the scope is fixed, or monthly billing when the work is ongoing. Nothing starts before your approval, and what was approved is what the contract holds.
